Your team is bringing in great insights.

But as a manager, what are the most important things you want to be able to do with those insights?

(This below is by no means an exhaustive list, but based on our customers’ experiences we think these are some of the most important things that managers and leaders in your position want to do with insights!)

1.

Get a bullet point summary of everything

There are times when you’re happy to sit through reading every single insight your team has bought in, and there are times when you simply want a quick summary of what’s going on, handed to you on a plate.

Generate reports for your leadership

Like clockwork, you have to produce a report for leadership that includes insight metrics and insight content. What is the story those insights are telling you, that you in turn should be telling leadership?

2.

3.

Deep dive into an interesting insight, instantly

You come across an interesting insight: is this a one-off, have others mentioned this as well, is there enough for it to be a potential trend? And you want the answers to all these immediately, right then and there.

Maintain oversight of key trends and emerging issues

Tracking insights on an acute basis is one thing, but keeping track of the bigger picture is equally important – so that you know whats happening out there with your KOLs & HCPs (again, without having to read everything!)

4.

5.

Check, review, and feedback on insights

Sometimes you want to, or have to, review insights (e.g. from new colleagues in your team), and even provide feedback to them (e.g. suggestions on improving the insight). A feedback loop that improves the value of everything!

Create potential actions from insights

Ultimately, “actionable insights” do matter. You want to be able to create actions based on one or more insights, and then track the implementation of that action – to ensure that the “capturetoaction” loop is completed to fruition.

6.

7.

Look at insights from different angles

You want to slice & dice insights the way you want. For example, see all the insights from a specific KOL, then summarise those, then maybe triangulate to find other KOLs saying the same thing. Then send an email with what you just discovered. All within the space of minutes.

Quickly share and escalate insights

“That’s an interesting insight, so-and-so should really know about that right now!”. But you also want to be able to save that insight for your next report, to make sure it’s included for everyone to see.

8.

9.

Guide your team on where to focus

Strategic objectives evolve, competitors release new data, market shaping events happen – you want to be able to guide your team quickly so they can be super reactive and collect the right insights that the organisation needs at that time.

Communicate the value of the insights

The best way to continually demonstrate and communicate the value of insights to others in your organisation is to continually demonstrate and communicate the value of insight to others! You want access to a variety of tools that can help you do this every week, quickly & easily.

10.

The Bonus

Some extras worth a mention!

Thank your submitters

Submitters sometimes say that they feel their insights get lost into a black hole! You want to ensure that the people bringing insights are able to see the value those insights provide to everyone in your organisation.

Discuss interesting insights with others

As you look through the insights coming in, some will especially pique your interest. You want to be quickly highlight those and then easily bring them up for discussion in a future meeting. And then maybe even action some of them depending on the outcome.

Monitor your team’s ‘insight’ metrics

Monitoring the frequency and type of interactions your team is having with customers (CRM metrics) is important, but you want to be able to see that in the context of the insights they are bringing in through those interactions - to truly help judge value.

Make it easy for your team

What if your team could have everything they need to track, analyse, and report on their own insights – not just to colleagues but also for their own self-development? What if your team could collaborate more around insights as, you know, a team should?

The Unique Challenge of Insights

“This is an interesting insight, are there other insights similar to this?”

On the surface, sounds easy - simply get the machine to search for other “similar” insights. Reality - all standard AI tools will fail on this task! Why? Because in insight often contains many different “micro-insights”…

So when you asking the machine to “look for similar insights”, the machine needs to know which particular bits are you interested in so that it can find insights with that specific content.

But in order to do that, the machine would have had to previously map every “micro insight” and created a contextual framework to understand each fragment.

So you see, things get complicated very quickly - and it’s all to do with the unique nature of insights!
